I Quit (with Roll Call)
Hey Gang, it's Mike. You ever have one of those days? I toss in the towel for today. Everything has gone wrong.
Although, I started running again about two weeks ago after about a 2 month hiatus. And as of today, I can officially once again run a full 5k without having to stop to walk. This will come in handy since my buddy Eli and I are running The Disneyland Half Marathon this fall. 5k is no half marathon, but at least I'm going again.
Also, I don't know why I still explain who everyone is when I mention them by name. Five people read this thing, if I'm being generous, and you all know who everyone is, so from now on, unless I get a comment from some stranger telling me how fascinating he/she finds my life, you all know who each other are, and if you don't:
Bailee - my wife
Michelle - my sister
Eli - my LA friend
Melissa - his wife
Joe - my other LA friend (That's right. There are two.)
Dale - my mentor/metaphorical big brother/friend I have had the longest
Turff - friend, and seemingly bizarro Mike Funt (That's not the right way to say it, but he and I agree on and see things almost identically, but he's a conservative and a fundementalist Christian, and I'm a crazy pinko liberal Atheist. You figure that one out 'cause I haven't.)
TiLo - Are you still reading this? He was my best friend my freshman year of college until he moved away. He's also the reason Chicago is my favorite band. (Bailee, you have him to blame.)
Bailee's mom used to read this from time to time too, I think.
That's it. That's all of you. My readership. If I'm leaving you out, feel free to let me know.
Best,
Mike

I quit too. At least for today. Mainly because my exhausted self just spilled a glass of ice water in my mac wireless keyboard. I literally POURED water out if it after the fact. I am typing this on my work laptop, as I figure any unnecessary HJKL'ing just now will likely only make matters worse.
Oh, and the idea of being Bizarro Mike Funt made me smile big-time. This doesn't mean we have to buy matching tights though, does it?
Haha, I figured you'd get a kick out of it, Turff. I don't think we need tights.
Maybe you can wear white hiking boots, while I wear black.
Yes, Mike, I still read your blog. After all this time I finally got a mention! I feel all special and warm now. Thank goodness Elizabeth keeps my seat warm. (You thought something nasty, didn't you?)
